Did You Know: Rock ‘n’ Roll

Did You Know? The term rock ‘n’ roll is believed to have been coined by Alan “Moondog” Freed, a disc jockey famous for organizing a concert at the Cleveland Arena in 1952. Over 25,000 people attended the show which featured the Dominoes and Paul “Hucklebuck” Williams. The concert was ultimately shut down early when crowds became unruly after being denied access after the venue became too full. Rock on!
